Vacuum Brazing

High vacuum joining process which results in bonds of exceptional integrity conbined with a very clean finish and minimal distortion.

The process is very well suited to joining assemblies and fabrications which are difficult to weld due to either the materials combination or finished geometry required.

Vacuum brazing offers the combination of high cleanliness and uniform heating/cooling which is ideal for oxidation sensitive materials such as those widely used in the aerospace industry.

Braze Alloys:

A very wide range of braze materials is available designed to suit the particular application. Typically these are alloy combinations of:

Copper, Nickel, Gold and Silver

Braze materials are used in the form of paste, wire, shim or tape to suit the application.

Typical Base Materials:

Many materials and combinations can be successfully vacuum brazed invcluding:

alloy steels, stainless steel, tool steel, titanium alloys, nickel and superalloys, copper, molybdenum, tungsten, and also many ceramics and cermets.

Expert metallurgical consultation and trial running is provided to determine the best joining process and braze materials.
