Salt Bath Treatments

Molten salt baths remain metallurgically one of the best and most flexible ways to heat treat metal components, giving the options of water, oil or molten salt as the quenching medium. WHT operates a range of different salt bath furnaces catering for tool steels up to 1,000kg. The Tufftriding™ process also takes place in salt baths, usually as an overnight service with the capability of treating components up to 500kg.
